GeniusGym turns infographics into living drills — looped video rounds, timed rest windows, hydration prompts, muscle heatmaps and a fuel plan tuned to your age and goal.
Most training plans are static images: a grid of sets and reps you have to interpret, count and time by yourself. GeniusGym turns that grid into a guided session that runs itself, so your attention stays on the movement instead of the clock.
Every exercise ships with a looping demonstration clip, an anatomy overlay of the muscles being loaded, and tempo guidance such as 2-0-2 written directly into the timer. Volume and rest are scaled to your age band — teens, 20s–30s, 40s–50s and 60+ — because recovery capacity changes long before ambition does.
Work and rest intervals are generated from the same data that prints the sets and reps, so a 45 second work / 15 second rest block is exactly that. Between exercises a full-screen rest countdown hands you over to the next movement, with an optional auto-start.
Each programme has a matching nutrition protocol with macro targets, six meal blocks, power shakes and a one-tap grocery list. After training, the recovery dashboard covers refuelling windows, sleep timing and your next scheduled session, while the Hall of Fame journal keeps a permanent, exportable record of what you did.
A printed plan asks you to do three jobs at once: perform the movement, count the reps and time the rest. Most people quietly drop the third, which is why sessions drift and progress stalls. GeniusGym runs the clock, the tempo and the transitions so the only job left is the movement itself.
That is the whole design premise. Every feature — looping demonstration clips, tempo callouts, corner-docked timers, automatic rest handoffs, hydration prompts — exists to remove a decision from the middle of a set rather than to add a screen to look at.
Training in your twenties and training in your fifties are different jobs, and the app treats them that way: warm-up length, joint-loading, impact and weekly volume all shift by age band. Goal changes rep ranges and rest; equipment access changes exercise selection without downgrading the stimulus.
Everything is free. There is no paid tier, no locked programme and no card required — an account exists only so your history and plans follow you between devices.
